Tata Steel Chess

We are excited to announce the Tata Steel Online Chess Blitz Tournament arena with a special prize, in collaboration with Chess.com!

The arena is taking place on Sunday 26 January, during Tata Steel Chess Festival, starting at 6:00 a.m. PT / 15:00 CET and is open to everyone. The time control of the arena is 3+2, with the arena lasting for 2 hours.

Format
The format of the event is a 2-hour rating-based arena, with a time control of 3+2. For every win, a player gains 2 points, and a draw gains them 1 point. If a player is on a winning streak, they gain bonus points. As soon as the 2-hour timer runs out, the player with the most amount of points wins. Prizes

• The winner of the tournament receives a chess board signed by all the Masters and Challengers of the Tata Steel Chess Tournament 2025!
• 2nd place receives a 1-year Chess.com diamond membership, provided by Chess.com
